Restoration
The Race program provides a structured and supportive environment where residents can address the issues that led to addiction and begin to heal. The Race program is designed to disciple men with life-controlling issues like alcohol and substance abuse or behavioral dysfunction, including criminal history. This program goes beyond treatment, it is systematic discipleship, including a Christ – centered, 12 – step program.
The expected outcome following successful completion of the program is that these men will have the skills and character to fulfill their God given position as husbands, fathers, and men of God in their communities.
“Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may obtain it. And everyone who competes for the prize is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a perishable crown, but we for an imperishable crown. Therefore I run thus: not with uncertainty. Thus I fight: not as one who beats the air. But I discipline my body and bring it into subjection, lest, when I have preached to others, I myself should become disqualified.”
